Ching Meng Tan
Mr.Ching Meng Tan aka “TAN”. Tan is a registered national engineer in Australia and a professional engineer of Queensland in the disciplines of structural and civil engineering.
Tan started his career in Asia after graduating from the Bendigo College of Advanced Education in Victoria. He came back to Australia after 21 years in Asia working as a professional engineer.
Whilst working in Asia, he has taken the role as a consultant engineer, development manager and construction manager. That was how he got his multi-disciplined skill sets within the property , engineering and construction sectors.
In 2005, Tan returned to Australia to work in the engineering consultancy sector. Tan was working at Ross Campbell at that time when he returned to Australia and was serving a large developer client known as Fiteni Homes in Redland during the last 5 years of the residential booms. He currently runs an established boutique civil and structural engineering consultancy company in South East Qld. Tan is an expert witness in civil engineering for court matters. He is currently a committee member in the Australian standards for retaining walls and is well known within the community of the Queensland Rifle Association and the Queensland Pistol Association. He is instrumental in the designing of the pistol range for the Metropolitan Pistol clubs. Tan is able to design the range to meet the stringent safety of the sports and QPS Weapon and licensing requirements.
Tan was appointed to be part of Bristar by the founder and oversees all the engineering matters of the company. He is supported by a group of structural engineers, geotechnical engineers and civil engineers working directly under his leadership.
